Duties and Responsibilities
USPS Contract Mail Carriers deliver mail to homes and businesses in rural areas across the nation. They travel on planned routes, deliver mail and parcels, obtain signatures, and collect outgoing mail along the way. Delivery occurs regardless of the weather, although schedules may be delayed.
Other responsibilities include: sorting mail in delivery sequence for active mailboxes, loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle, delivering mail to customer boxes along assigned line-of-travel and other administrative duties as required.

Compensation
Annual Allotment: $55,000.00
Daily Allotment: $182.12
The allotment is what we pay for the route. It is all-inclusive - vehicle, fuel, insurance and any help you hire come out of it.
